ALSO My mom went to Northeastern

Awesome EC’s and good course selection! If your GPA scale is out of 5 and not 4, then I can’t really comment on your GPA because I don’t understand it haha. Try retaking the SAT and ACT because your test scores are the only problem right not but they aren’t a big problem at all. I think you have about a 75% chance of getting in which is really great  We’re in a similar boat. I’m a female applying for engineering and I’ve been told many times that I will have a bit of an easier time getting into schools because of it. So luckily you have that on your belt. You also took demanding courses in the math and science areas so that will help you out too. Getting in for nursing might be a little more difficult because it is mostly women but it isn’t a very popular program at a lot of schools (I don’t know much about Northeastern) so it probably all equals out in the end. Good luck :)

chance me back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1391988-pleeeaseee-chance-me-engineering-i-will-chance-back.html

4.2 is about the same as a 3.4 on a 4 scale
Yeah, I’m definitely retaking the ACTs because it’s so low is because of my essay, so as soon as I have a better essay I’ll probably be at a 30, at least. Also, when I first took it, I didn’t study at all, so I’ll definitely do better. A lot of people have told me the female applying engineering will help my chances, but I have to decide whether I’m going to apply into that or nursing. Nursing is in the Bouve College of Health Sciences which is extremely competitive in NEU, which is why I’m leaning towards Engineering. Also especially because my best subjects have always been math and science. I’ll chance you! :)

From what I know about Northeastern (which is not that much) a 3.4 is fairly low for them and your scores are not really strong enough to compensate. I would say it is worth applying, the upward grade trend will help, but your odds are not so great…
