<p>I think that you have a great shot. In your application, I would come across as very passionate about physics but play up your other interests (tennis, etc.). HPSM are tricky to figure out who can get in and who can’t but the fact that you did research with a Stanford professor is a huge plus, especially if you can get a recommendation from him/her. Other than those schools I think you are basically in at Chicago,Berkeley, Cornell, Duke, and UCLA. Caltech is tough to get in, but I think you have a really good shot as long as you don’t come across as one dimensional in your application.</p>
