Decent chances at JHU. Not sure how much your GPA will hinder, but your extracurriculars perhaps make up for it, they are excellent. You have a decent chance if you write stellar essays.

Thank you

FYI, some people may consider bumping – especially six times in 40 minutes AND particularly when the first three bumps were simultaneous with the original post – to be excessive, even discourteous. This may be THE most important thing in the entire world to you, but that doesn’t mean the remainder of us should feel quite the same way.

Point taken. I just recently joined this cite, and i am unfortunately not familiar with the rules. I didnt mean to offend anyone.

Lol, I can tell you’re a nervous junior. IDK how much ECs can make up for a poor GPA, but if anyone’s can it would be yours. Just speaking for JHU, I think you have a good shot. What would really help you out is if you got your high school guidance counselor to write you a letter of recommendation explaining the circumstances you’ve been through and how you’ve worked hard despite that. Especially if they have your transcript and see that your sophomore year grades look very different from the rest of your high school career.

I would be shocked if you did not get into UVA and Hopkins with your SATs and ECs. Georgetown too, because they do not consider the writing portion of the SAT. Cornell, like all Ivies, is very tough to chance, but you do seem qualified, and they too consider only the Math + CR. Carnegie Mellon and Wash. U are probably about 50-50, which is outstanding considering how hard they are to get into for the average applicant. I would not be surprised if you got into all of these schools with your qualifications.

Thank you Guys! I really appreciate it.

JHU (ED) high match
UVA match
UPenn reach
Georgetown low reach
Carnegie Mellon- low reach SCS- reach
Washington University at St. Louis- low reach
Cornell- reach

Good chances.

Why do you keep bumping this topic? Not to be harsh but how many chances do you need in order to see the same predictions? You’re qualified to be a competitive applicant at all of the schools you have listed. ED will improve your chances at jhu but it’s still just as hard to get into.
