Chance me, please! (Amherst, Harvard, Brown Swarthmore, etc...)

Hey, I was wondering if you could chance me for some top liberal arts colleges / Ivies.

Thanks in advance! Sorry if this is really terribly done; I've never done this before.

Hooks: (maybe) Studied abroad in Switzerland @ prestigious program for a semester, got all A's.

Harvard sounds more like a reach, and Brown might be a very slight reach, but it seems as if you're matches for all the other schools. I assume you have good recommendations and that your school generally sends a fair number of students to prestigious universities.

Good luck!

ECs are lacking, especially for ivies

If you go to a private school like Phillips Exeter Academy, your GPA is strong. If you don't go to a private school of that caliber, your GPA standing may be different.

Gender and ethnicity?

Thank you all!

My private school is the top in the area and is pretty hard to get into, but I've been going there since I was little and it's not exactly Phillips Exeter.

I'm female and white.

Are you good enough to be recruited for fencing?

peggy, how can you call her a match for Amherst, Swarthmore, and Pomona? Those are all reaches.

for harvard, your scores, gpa, and ecs are all rather mediocre. high reach there. others are reach-matches - i've heard amherst is almost as difficult to get into as harvard.
