I live in Southern California and ill be a Senior this year
I have a 1790 SAT Score and my goal is to bring it up somewhere near the 2000. My SAT II Score is 1310 and my goal for that is around 1410. Then my ACT is 29 and my goal for that is around 32. And now your probably wondering why am I worried.... MY GPA is a 2.7!
Ive done sports, been in clubs and have almost 100 hours of communite service and ive been in AVID for 4 year if that does any good. Also have passed APUSH and AP Lang Exams and will be take 4 AP this year.

Actually, I knew why you were worried when you said…

…1790 SAT Score, …SAT II Score is 1310(could you divide this up into individual scores for ea. subject?). The 2.7 GPA is just makes it all the more worrisome.

You need a 3.0 GPA to apply for UCs, so unless you somehow raise that up your senior year so that it is reflected in your November application, there’s a zero chance of you getting in. One thing you can do is take community college courses that give grades BEFORE the end of November.

I’d say all of the other universities you noted are reaches because of your dismal GPA.

Anyway, your ACT and SAT (especially your ACT) are strong enough to get into any school on your list. However, your GPA could mess up your chances to any of those as well (which is a bummer b/c its easier to improve SAT scores than GPA).
It looks like the UC’s weight GPA pretty heavily in admissions, UCR and UCSC have over 90% graduated in the top 10% of their HS class, so that could hurt you, but you’re well above average as far as SAT/ACT scores go.
