I replied to you in my thread, but I’ll tell you here as well…that’s an AMAZING SAT, great GPA, excellent subject tests, great extra curriculars…just write a great essay to make yourself stand out and you have a very good shot at all the schools you listed. Good luck!

Dont see a reason why you shouldnt get into any of those schools, but they are all very competitive and who nows, but I would predict you get in to almost all of them very strong everything.

I’d agree with Katie on all except possibly Stanford, where a little luck might have to swing in your favor in order to be accepted. Hopefully, you have a safety school on your list as well. Maybe another UC or two? Good luck.

Haha thanks for the confidence boost Snapple, but what I’m worried about is I’m just “good” at a lot of things I don’t really have a “one of a kind” talent.

I assume you’re interested in a math/science career? If so, you’ve shown a lot of commitment to volunteering at the hospital, and your amazing grades (subject tests too) and math/science awards should show your commitment in these areas.

I don’t really want to go to Harvard, although I have somewhat of a legacy because my aunt is a researcher there. Just everyone seems stuck up and elitist plus I like Cali haha. Honestly I guess I haven’t really looked into Yale and Princeton…maybe I should.

Not to be a downer or anything… but you dont have a chance really. trust me. I go to Stanford and most of my family is in the college business. ie: on the board of harvard and stanford. Theyre gonna see right through you. They hate a college ‘whore’ which is what you profile resembles right now. Pre-med association? It seems like an attempt to bulk up your resume. Dont do it. Also, please dont mention the Stanford Alum thing. That’s kinda dumb. No one really cares what college your teacher went to. I dont want to discourage you, but seriously, you should reconsider your approach to college. You dont display a singular interest/talent so right now, you profile isnt good. PLEASE, do not sound pretentious when you apply. Im scared because you seem a little bit like that right now.

Food for thought.

ps, do you think you will do well at top-notch schools. At stanford, you are competing with inherent geniuses so… make sure you can handle it. idk if you can or not

stanfordcollege is most likely a ■■■■■, so just ignore him.
I can’t give much input about Stanford/UChicago/Duke/etc, but you’re a good match/in at CMU and JHU.

Hey guys,
Im not a ■■■■■ or whatever. Seriously, I don’t wanna be mean or anything, I just want you to know what colleges think about you. It’ll help your chances.

And 503Rep, dont accuse me of stuff when you dont have the facts. Sure, maybe family helped when I got into Stanford but how would they help when I also go accepted to Princeton and Columbia?
You shouldnt act like this because I’m spending time chance-ing you. Something that takes up my time and is supposed to be helpful to you.

Im not a ■■■■■ and im not trying to be mean to you but dont call me out on stuff when you have no idea what your talking about

You’re going into premed but you have prominent items in PYP / SyllabusX / Asian Generics.

You lack awards in your fields of interest. Having leadership positions in stuff like Science clubs & PMA are okay, but it doesn’t really prove anything unless you’ve awards to demonstrate your competence in the fields.

:)

Yes for all but Stanford & JH because they’re impossible to predict unless you cure cancer.

^^ Definitely agree with Ktk above.
Having >10 clubs is meaningless unless they mean something to you.
Achievements, leadership (assuming you do extra things) are both great.
SATs seem VERY solid, though PSAT doesn’t count for apps.
Just one thing: How did you get <4.00 freshmen year and about 5.00 all other years?

Science Bowl and Olympiad is good, assuming you actually do competitions and run the club well.
I know that our school’s Science Bowl team is VERY competitive, how is yours?

Look like a strong candidate for Duke and their amazing science facilities and great medical campus. Duke offers top academics and athletic opportunities in mild climate. For some pre-med safeties might look at Holy Cross(don’t have to be religious) and Tufts. Holy Cross has an amazing pre-med program with very high med school acceptance rate. HC also has new science building and sponsors summer internships in the sciences. Holy Cross is also one of the very few liberal arts schools to have produced Nobel Prize Winner in Medicine.
