Very good chance for all. But UCB will def require a great personal statememt

hmmm your GPA is a little lacking for UCLA , but you’re about average for Cal’s haas program. You definitely have a great shot at UCD and UCSD.

Haas average transfer GPA:

UCLA admitted students profile:
[Profile of Admitted Transfer Students by Major, Fall 2012 - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/adm_tr/Tr_Prof12_mjr.htm)

The following is complete speculation and I might be 100% wrong, but it makes sense:

Just to clarify because I know some people might not agree with me about UCLA. Yes, OP has a great GPA, but a 3.84 is actually pretty crappy if he is trying to get accepted to Econ at UCLA. 1,042 transfers with an average of 3.51 applied last year and only 179 with an average of 3.93 were accepted. That means that over 89 of those students had a GPA above 3.93 while the other half had a GPA below a 3.93, but not by that much since the GPA cap is a 4.0! That is a difference of ± .07. So in order for the GPA to average to a 3.93, 50% had to have a GPA from 3.93-4.0 while the other half had to have a GPA from 3.86-3.93. Right? Hypothetically speaking, If you have 100 4.0 GPA students and another 100 3.86 GPA students, the average is a 3.93. You can see how a few people with a 3.7 can offset the average. I can guarantee you that people with GPAs below a 3.8 probably didn’t get accepted and up to 3.85. Like I said, I’m probably wrong but it does make sense.

@mermaker Thanks man for your analyses, but does UCLA only look for high GPA? Does personal statement play any role in application? Btw, are you currently studing at UCLA? what is your major?

UCLA looks at everything when admitting transfers (essays, ECs, prerequisite completion, GPA). And no, I’m not a student at UCLA. I’m at CCC just like you.

From what I heard, the personal statement for UCLA does not play a big role in decisions.
