applied to CALS, want to be an environmental studies (area) major

I think thats everything, tell me if theres some info I forgot to post

Oh and I’m from Utah, Caucasian female, I rank like 14 out of 230, and my school probably doesn’t send a lot of kids to big schools. (I’ve never heard of any going to an Ivy)

Bump, Anyone??

That’s an interesting profile, by the time you’re out of high school you’ll already have an associates degree… Anyway, your GPA looks good, SATs are low for Cornell, ECs are narrow but the bird one is pretty good since it has quite a few hours and a leadership position. I’m not an adcom, but I would probably put you at a low-mid reach mostly due to the SAT scores

Awesome, so if I boost my score I might have a good chance? I just took the SAT and felt pretty good, defiantly better than my first. I’m not sure I got my math into Cornell’s average, but I think I got between a 630 and a 700. (I’ve been scoring about a 650 on my practice exams) and I felt like a I boosted by Reading a little.

Thanks for your help!

Bummmppppp

I think you should try to bump your math score a bit… the rest look good! :)

It seems to me that you take of your academics quite well! That SAT question is kinda low for Cornell and the EC are pretty good. Id say you have a good shot at it, just try to get those SAT scores up!

I know a few people who have gotten into Cornell with those scores, bu they applied to the econ. college which is a bit easier to get into. Good Luck!

Mind chancing me back please?

Reenat, I would love to chance you back, but I cannot find your thread. Would you mind sending the link?

Link:
Please chance me for the best college on the face of the earth (aka Princeton)

besides the chancing, what are you confused about? (you said confused in your topic title.) I’m a current student in CALS so I might be able to help.

I would be concerned about the low standardized test scores going with your school that isn’t particularly known, but it sounds like you were truly trying your best, so that’s something to be proud of. best of luck!

No one here fits the bill.

Based on test-score statistics only, it’s unlikely, especially if you aren’t URM.
