Please be honest..I am posting this up to get a realistic point of view.
I honestly don't know whether or not I'm qualified.
I feel like I'm 20% getting in, 80% not.

Humec is the easiest school, you have a great GPA and solid ECs and maybe you’re not too great at standardized testing, but I wouldn’t say you only have a 20% chance!!

hmm well ur scores and gpa are definitely qualified but ur extracirriculars dont really show any fit for that major…humec is all about fit. being an asian female is also a disadvantage especially for humec. so i would say around 30% chance

Ugh, you’re my competition
I applied to HumEc for the HBHS major as my alternate choice (CALS Bio is my first choice)
My stats are:
SAT: CR: 700 M: 750 W: 760
SAT II: 800 Math Level 2 780 Biology-M
GPA: 3.52 UW and 4.3 W (I went to school in Asia for my first two years of high school and the credits received was misrepresented. Might sound like an excuse, but I told them in a very detailed manner in my Additional Information section of my app.)
I’m too lazy to put everything but my main ECs is being an EMT
I’m also part URM part Asian

soooo yeah
just to give you an idea of the competition
MAY THE BEST MAN WIN

also, I really respect you for being in SNHS. Just saying. I founded the SNHS at my school and it is my baby. idk what my life would be without it.

Fishyfishy, I appreciate your post but the purpose of my thread was to be chanced, not informed of my “competition.”

And the part about “the best man winning” - that’s not my approach to this.
Yes, we’re applying for the same school and major, but its not about who wins. Who knows? We both might be accepted, we both might get rejected/deferred.

But HumEc was my first and only choice at Cornell.

SAET IF WE BOTH GO TO CORNELL WE’RE GOING TO RAVE ABOUT OUR SNHSs?? hahaha I cofounded it with my friend we’re doing so many cool projects this year. We even take pretty similar classes. Twins.
