To the point-
Either improve the ACT or apply
somewhere else !
Strive for at least a 25 or higher
and give the SAT a shot.
Good Luck !

She should be fine-she could try the ACT again, but she should be fine with that GPA.

They will most likely defer you pending a new ACT/SAT. Sign up and take it soon. No one is a definite at this school. I’ve seen all kinds of stats over the last few years, some great ones that got denied, others borderline that got in. With your GPA if you can get it up to a 23 I think you are in, even if it’s a 22, it will show improvement. That is the key. The rest looks great! Good Luck!

I agree with alongwait. I’ve seen all kinds of stats accepted/rejected over the last few years also- outside of this website too. I’d say it’s a 50/50 shot between getting accepted or deferred at this point. Best of luck!

Mizz- I’m glad to see you are doing so well at UCF!
Kait- Are you in state? That may help your chances.

Yes I am instate, and My Sat scores are are 1111 no lie! haha. I have taken act twice and sat three times, and got the same score both times taking act, and the last two times on sat. So theres no point wasting my money to get the same or a possibly lower score. I will only retake it if they defer me until I retake act.

Kait, I’m doing the same exact thing. I want to hear back and find out if I’m defered, so I know I need to take the ACT again. I’m paying out of my own pocket for it all (as I have been doing) so I’m hesitant. My only problem is that statistics say, that after taking twice, your score isn’t likely to go up. I went from a 20 to a 22, which is an improvement, but I wanted a 23. We’re in the same boat, so hopefully we hear back soon:)

I’m paying from my own pocket as well. I just want to find out. I am loosing sleep over this :frowning: I went from a 20 to a 21… so depressing but hopefully we applied early enough
