I'm hoping to get in as an environmental major. : ) I know that my SATs are kind of weak and my ECs are kind of lacking...but I was wondering if I have a chance of being accepeted at Wellesley. Also, since I realise that i am a bit lacking, is there anything you guys can suggest to kind of increase my chances? Thanks!

bump are my stats so bad that no one wants to chance me?

Sorry, I can't really chance you cause I don't understand your gpa :)

But your ecs look ok! good consistency and all that.

Good luck!

ack. Sorry...ok, basically, my unweighted GPA is 3.60 and my weighted GPA is 4.04.

And thanks prelude. I was really worried that I was lacking ecs...

I'm a sophomore at Wellesley and I remember applying RD with a 3.4 unweighted GPA but with tons of EC's and decent standardized test scores. Your GPA is fine but your ECs are a little on the low side (compared with a lot of the girls who do apply). I would recommend doing a great interview and writing good ESSAYS. Really let them know YOU. Wellesley is 1/3 Asian and you need to distinguish yourself. Good luck.

Hmm....I see...thanks thistlepanger! But I do have another question then, are the interviews at Wellesley formal or casual? And also, is Wellesley a slight reach, match or just impossible?

The interviews depend on when your alum graduated. I had an alum that graduated in the same year as Madeleine Albright and it was pretty formal. But if you get a younger alum, it might be in a less formal setting. Wellesley is a match for you; no school is impossible.
