Chance me, please? :D

Employment: I worked at a grocery store bagging for 4 months last summer, and also worked for my father, helping him with his business. The money is just savings.

Honors/Awards: Highest score in my school on Current Events League tests
Top ten, state-wide essay contest for PSU, there’s probably other things I’m forgetting.

I can count on glowing recommendations from my english teacher, as well as my US History teacher, and a good one from my counselor.

I’ve already had an interview, and I got the feeling that it went very well, but that’s just a guess.

As for me, I’m a pretty average person, demographically. White, non-religious male, 2-parent household in the upper-middle-class suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA. I’m a voracious reader, active in politics (volunteering with various campaigns), and I write, produce music, and moonlight as a DJ in my spare time, just uploading the mixes onto the internet, though.

Your chances are good to very good, but short of a lock.

On your interview, did you show real interest in Brandeis?
Did you mention anything about Brandeis in particular (i.e. something that would not be applicable to other schools) that appealed to you?

If so, I would say your chances are "fair to good".
Applying ED (if Brandeis would be your first choice) would help greatly.

i babbled for a lot of it, because i took the tour and was so thrilled by it, but i think i communicated a genuine interest. i talked a lot about how it was a fit for me personally; i liked the intellectual bent, the opportunities, the courses, i really liked the size and progressive, diverse feel. specifically, i mentioned how homogenous my home school is, and how i wanted to meet new types of people.

I probably won't be applying ED, since I'm also applying to Chicago, and were i to get accepted, i wouldn't want to tie myself to anything. also, I've heard that ED acceptees have a tougher time getting financial aid. is this true?

That's not true. I applied ED for the class of 2012 and i received an excellent financial aid.

I think you are a good match. The only suggestion I can think of is to raise your SAT math score...which sticks out from your other scores.
