Please be brutally honest. I already got into BC (Caroll) and was wondering how it compares to NYU Stern.

damn grrrrrrrrrrl that GPA is smokin!

i would say it’s a reach… but even if you don’t get in you still got into BC which is an awesome school!

good luck! =)

haha, thanks… good luck to you too!

Stern is on a different level than Caroll, so just keep that in mind. The fact that you are doing regular decision puts you in a difficult spot because you are now competing with UMich Ross, UVA Mcintire, UPenn Wharton, and many other rejects from top schools who got denied early decision. I got accepted ED if you need a reference:

… b u m p ! ! !

Well… Lover of Ramen Noodles…

With the exception of your SAT’s for math, I think that you have a pretty good shot. If you got a rec from a math teacher, that might have helped.

thanks. 10 char

anyone else have any thoughts?

My friend applied last year RD…he had a 1400/2080 (730 M, 670 R, 680 W) with similar ECs and GPA. He got waitlisted by Stern but luckily got off the waitlist after a long time of waiting. So in your case, in comparison to my friend, I am being honest as possible and I dont want to disappoint you, but you may not get a direct acceptance. I dont think you will get rejected, but most likely a waitlist. Again, I dont mean to discourage you and I am not saying you will get flat-out rejected, I am just informing you based on my experience. I may be wrong, it depends overall on the competitiveness of the applicant pool.
And congrats on BC, its a good school, so even if you dont get into Stern (which I think will not happen), you have another good school on your list. Good luck, and help me out please?

Are the other posters concerned that s/he might not get in because s/he’s applying RD or just because of his/her stats in general? Would he have a better chance of getting in ED? Just curious because I think his/her stats are great for stern…killer GPA and not bad SATs.

Yes, he would have a better chance ED, but its too late for that. GPA is good, but SAT scores could have been better…I guess we will find out in March/April or whenever decisions are released.
Not to be annoying or anything, but…
