<p>i am a senior and i want to get into a good premed program hopefully in the midwest or west coast . But prefer a BS/MD program. im hopin that someone could look at my stats and tell me where i stand compared to other applicants:

i am in a few clubs but no leadership positions
i have volunteered 100+ hr alot of which have been at the hospital
and thats pretty much it, i kno its not very impressive or impressive at all... BUT I REALLLY REALLLY WANT TO BE A DOCTOR</p>
<p>GPA needs to be closer to 4.0 uw and ACT needs to be 33+ at least.</p>
<p>It’s going to be VERY tough to get in to a BS/MD program but try a couple state programs. You do neen a much higher GPA and ACT.</p>
<p>State Programs have a great deal of competition too. Even at State level, >700 for all SATs would give you an edge. Can you retake SATs?</p>
<p>If not, apply anyway. No harm applying.</p>
<p>Yes, State programs are also very competitve and good number of them have been cancelled reducing chances for future applcants. My D’s program accepted last 10 freshmen this year, cancelled. And I know at least one more state program that has been cancelled.</p>
<p>Thanks for the feedback, Im going to take your advice and retake the ACT and see how that turns out.</p>
