I applied in mid-September to the Ohio U Scripps School of Journalism. I think Ohio is a safety for me, but I know that Scripps is more competitive.

I'm a white female, and in June I will graduate from the third best school district in Pennsylvania. :)

GPA: 3.6 weighted
ACT: Composite of 24 (English 27, Math 22, Science 23, Reading 23)
SAT: 1660/2400 (I sent my ACT scores, which were better...)
AP Courses: I took AP U.S. History my junior year and received a 3 on the exam, and this year I am taking AP Literature and AP Spanish Language.
Honors Courses: I have taken a total of 8 honors classes throughout high school, in addition to my AP's.

EC's: Drill Team (in Marching Band) 4 years, captain for 2 years.
School News Magazine for 2 years, exclusive editor for 1 year.
Photography club 4 years, officer for 2 years.
Track, 4 years
Orchestra, 4 years
Symphony Orchestra, 4 years
I've also danced, played rec. softball, and tumbled outside of school. :)

Volunteering: Over 50 hours of volunteer work, some of which I received from interning at a local Magazine. I had two articles published to my community.

That's about it? I'm just really worried about getting into Scripps because they want a 25 ACT score; they say its a requirement! But I mean, I have a lot of background in the media field and I'm only 1 point away...I don't know, I'm terrified. OU is my number one, and going for journalism is the only way I'd ever go!

I did take the ACT again this October, but I'm doubting I did better than my 24. :(

Let me know what you think, or if you have any advice. Thank you!
