Chance me please? desperate?

<p>Hi, this is my first post. I want to know my chances for USC as a freshman. My school is very strong academically, but we lack a sports team and many extracurricular activities.</p>

<p>I have a 4.0 weighted gpa, 3.75 unweighted gpa.
2020 SAT
740 SATII Math level 2, 680 SATII Chemistry</p>

<p>I am currently taking ap calculus, ap english, ap chem, ap gov, and physiology. i originally signed up for AP bio instead of physiology but our school didn't offer it this year. last year i took ap spanish lit and ap stats as well, along with honors math analysis and honors algebra 2 the year before. </p>

<p>i applied as a chemistry major, and hope to become a pharmacist and attend USC pharmacy school, and i mentioned that in my application as well. I have plenty of community service hours but not much else. I've been a CSF member all of high school and i've gotten an "outstanding acheivement in physics" award at the end of my freshman year (i was the only one who got it, our school requires us to take physics in 9th grade, bio in 10th, and chem in 11th) ...oh and i've taken 7 classes freshman through junior year and i'm taking 5 during senior year. </p>

<p>i have a decent essay, with a strong letter of rec from my counselor. i want to know what my chances are? please be kind lol i've got my heart set on attending usc.</p>

<p>Your gpa might be a little bit low but your SAT’s are right there so you for sure have a chance.</p>

<p>My gpa was lower than yours, and I got in. They take a more holistic approach and don’t just look at grades.</p>

<p>I have the same SAT score and GPA as you! I think my essays are meh, but I know that one of my recs is special. I applied for a different major too.</p>

<p>I think you have a chance, I know people with worse stats that were accepted.</p>

<p>Despite your somewhat low GPA, I think you have a good chance, assuming your EC’s/Essays/Recs are all solid.</p>

<p>The average HS GPA for an admitted student is 3.8, the average HS GPA for an attending student is 3.7. Since it is an average there are plenty admitted below 3.7 as well as above. (The HS GPA average for all applicants is 3.5.)</p>

<p>i don’t have a laundry list of ECs like most people do on CC. i’ve volunteered consistently at about 3 places throughout my 4 years of high school and was in student government sophomore year.</p>
