What do you guys thinkk?

u shud have looked into more match schools? Idk how ur chances look for duke cuz i think gtown is much selective, i like ur chances at UNC and ur in at the rest…minus harvard lol

yeahhh harvards my major reach, i applied cause of the whole legally blonde thing and my friends joke and call me harvard heather ahah, itd be nice but probably way too stuffy for me if i actually even got in… anddd i really hope dukes easier on me than georgetown, because i’m in love with duke lol

i think you got a pretty good shot. i hope you get accepted (i hope i get accepted too haha)

Hmmm, OK I don’t know about Duke admissions, but was just curious here - I know a grad student in one of my classes who went to Duke as a math undergrad, and is a really impressive fellow. I think if you go there you’re in for good things =]

I think a big deal is – how you expressed your passion for studying mathematics? This is something general that I can comment on. I know at times schools really will like if you’re happy to study a given subject in their particular setup.

OK not sure if I messed something with the post, but anyway, the gist of it – I did not apply to Duke when I was doing applications, but I do know you’re probably in for a good math program, based on this math grad student in one of my classes, coming out of Duke undergrad. Pretty impressive fellow.

I think a plus might be if you expressed in some way why you’re passionate about studying mathematics at Duke in particular, or just why you’re passionate about math, in your application, so I’d ask if you feel you did this? It’d certainly set you apart if you had some solid words on this subject, I’d think.

OK ugh; haha, just bad post time. Sorry for the repeat.

try arranging ur ECs though… other than that i hope u had somehow indicated that duke’s your #1 XD

I think your chances are pretty good for getting in!
Good luck!

slight reach…

thanks everyone for your intake so far =)
