I’m a senior from Saint Louis, MO. Upper(ish) middle class, white, female. I attend a private, all-girls college prep school.Kenyon is my absolute dream school and I am applying ED, planning a double major in political science and creative writing

Weighted GPA: 3.86 (Unweighted around 3.56)
ACT: 32
AP classes: APUSH (4), lang (4), gov (3) taking ap lit and euro this year while also pursuing an independent AP class in AP comparative gov

ECs: editor in chief for two years of award winning literary magazine (ranked in the top 10% of the nation), editor of yearbook, president of academic competition, secretary of NHS, lifeguard for 3 years, volunteered as a camp counselor for two years, dance captain for two years for an all boys school, involved in 10+ musicals, 14+ years of dance, member of regular and advanced show choir

As for demonstrated interest, I have visited Kenyon twice, had a campus interview, e-mailed my admissions rep a couple times, and will have a one-on-one talk with the Kenyon admissions rep at my school.

Hey…I’m from ST Louis too and would also like to attend Kenyon. As for you, from my understanding, you will get in. Your ACT is 75th percentile for Kenyon, you’ve shown interest, and ED will help anyone.

You have a shot. Your weakness on your app will be your GPA. Your ACT score is on the middle 50%. Try to make a great personal statement. Your EC’s are nice. As for ED, your chances a lot better but anything can happen. Good Luck!
