the 480 would concern me. i suggest taking the sats again, or acts if that’s your speed.

I would reconsider where to apply because to be honest with you, I’m afraid that it would be really hard for you to get into a school like Hamilton with these stats. I think, most colleges want at least 100 on TOEFL, and 1810 seems to be a bit too low…I am very sorry to say this but Asians and especially Chinese students are often expected to have even better stats than other applicants because of the overwhelming amount of students applying from China (but I’m sure you are aware of that). Just to give you an example, I have a Chinese friend here who got in with 2250 SAT and 109 TOEFL. And there are only a couple of Chinese students in this year’s freshman class while at most similar colleges (e.g. at Colgate) there are often 20 or 30…so maybe you should think it over again. I really would not like to discourage you from applying, but it might just be a waste of your time unless you look up some schools that have an appropriate SAT score range for your stats. And I know that SAT scores are only one aspect of the application but in your case, there does not seem to be anything else that is exceptionally outstanding…and on top of that, as I have already mentioned, competition among Chinese students to get into US schools is very intense…

Good luck and I hope you don’t take it personally!

I really appreciate your suggestion.
I completely changed my school list a few days ago because I found that it was really hard for me to be admitted. I should find a fit shool rather than the ‘rank high’ school.
Thanks again:p

hie-you didnt mention whether you require financial aid?from your initial list I would strongly urge you to keep mount holyoke.remember also that SAT scores are not everything, and they understand that intl students are not familiar with standardised tests.but I agree with others, look atsome less selective schools.

Thank you for you help.
I require financial aid.
P.S.I like mount holyoke very much.:p

GREATGLORY, MHC is known for having a large number of international students and they are test optional. Have you considered ED1 or 2 ? I graduated from MHC many, many yeaars ago and loved every minute of my time there.
