Chance me please!! Feedback greatly appreciated

<p>Hi! I'm about to become a senior in high school and college application time is slowly but surely approaching so I was wondering if you guys can help me get a sense of my current predicament concerning acceptance into Cornell.</p>

<p>Some background information: I'm an Asian Male born in China, spent 8 years in China, 3 in Canada, and 6 years in the United States so I can speak English, Chinese, and French. </p>

<p>My Stats and I regretfully has slacked off tremendously so my GPA is horrible BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY I AM APPLYING EARLY DECISION</p>

<p>GPA: Unweighted: 3.33
Weighted: 3.78
SAT I: 2200
SATIIs: Math II C: 750
Biology 700
Chemistry: 630 (blah horrible i know)
Literature: 620 (same here)</p>

<p>APs: 5 in AP English Language
4 in AP Calculus
3 in AP Biology
2 in AP Chemistry (Once again i know! its horrible )
ECs: Tennis Team (9, 11, 12) Captain senior Year
Badminton Team, Math Team, National Honors Society, School Newspaper Staff, Prom Committee(Dance Committee), Freshmen Orientation Staff, French Club, French Honors Society, Hospital Staff/Volunteer (City of Hope Oncology Department), Coaches kids tennis.</p>

<p>Senior Schedule:
1) AP English Literature
2) AP Statistics
3) AP French
4) AP Government
5) Tennis
6) Journalism Newspaper Staff</p>

<p>PLEASE CHANCE ME AND BE BRUTALLY HONEST!!! </p>

<p>*******PS!! i know cornell is an EXTREME reach for me but yah i kind of want to just know how likely it is for me to get accepted :)</p>

<p>There really needs to be a big message on the Cornell board that asks chance-threaders to specify which school they’re applying to within Cornell.</p>

i would like to apply as an agricultural engineering major with a minor in french
so thus i would be applying to the college of agricultural studies and life sciences</p>

<p>Brutal honesty: Your GPA is rather low, and your scores on APs and SAT IIs are mediocre. Your extracurriculars are pretty run of the mill, nothing that really sticks out. Add that to the fact that you’re a Chinese male, and your chances are looking grim at best. It’s a good thing you’re applying ED, it would be nearly impossible for you RD.</p>

<p>Brutal honesty: mediocre SAT scores, low GPA, low APs and SATII scores. Your ECs are, as mentioned before, all over the place, without a focus.
Being a Chinese male is like the K.O. punch to the already-grim prospects. </p>

<p>But hey, try harder your senior year and don’t be discouraged by our comments. We’re just being brutally honest, and you may still have time to prove us wrong :)</p>

<p>but if i’m correct, AP scores dont factor into the admissions process…</p>
