Chance me please + financial aid question.

Hi :D I'm thinking about applying to Twin Cities. Money is a huge factor in my case since my family's EFC is 0. However, I've noticed that this university offers significantly lower cost of attending when compared to other solid public schools. I just want to ask you guys what do you think my chances are of being accepted and is it possible to end up with only 10,000 - 15.000$ net price after financial aid? My SAT: 1950 (CR 580 M 700 W 670) - I'm retaking in November and hopefully I'll get at least 630 in CR. Since I'm dual US citizen and I've lived my whole life in Poland I can't really compare my grades to US GPA system accurately. Do I have any chances with that SAT scores? Thank you.

What college are you applying to? I think the kind of aid you are talking about is a long shot unless you significantly improve those scores, but it doesn’t hurt to try.

Can you afford $15k net price?

Are you in state? Even you have EFC at 0, you still need to find a school that can fully meet your need.

No, I’m not in state. I live in Europe. I want to apply to school of management as undecided (probably major in accounting or finance eventually). Yes I guess my family can afford 15k $ but It’d be better if it was something around 10k $. Is that reach, match or safety school in my case?

It would be hard for international. EFC does not apply.

I said in my first post that I’m dual US citizen so that I am eligible for financial aid and any kind of loans. So what about those questions I asked above?

CSOM is a low admissions reach for you, but don’t count on the finances working out like you hope.

Check out Bemidji State.

Check out UMN-Morris. For Economics and schools that meet 100% need for citizens*, look into St Olaf and Macalester, you’d have a shot at both, especially if you can raise that score to 1950-2000. These two schools really like students who have lived abroad and have a good eclectic mix.

That means that, if your EFC is 0, you’d have a financial aid package with grants, scholarships, work study, and $5,500 loans, covering your full costs.
