Chance me, please? First choice

<p>Hi, I'm new to this site. Hamilton is my top choice (I did not apply ED because I was afraid to be committed to a school. I need financial aid to attend a school this expensive and was afraid the financial aid package may not be enough). </p>

<p>Stats:
GPA- 4.3 W, 3.7 UW
SAT - 2240 (740 CR, 700 M, 800 W)
ACT - 33 (35 R, 35 E, 29 M, 32 S)
AP - English Lit 5
European History 5
US History 4
Biology 2 (ouch, I know)
SAT 2 - Lit 690
Chem 690
US History 650
Math II 610 (my SAT 2 scores aren't very good, I know)</p>

<p>Activites:
4 years Mock Trial (Team captain, won state championship)
4 years Newspaper (sports section editor, Editor-in-Chief)
3 years Speech & Debate (state qualifier in Original Advocacy, Special Distinction from National Forensics League)
1 year Human Rights Club
National Honor Society
Competitive figure skater for a few years</p>

<p>I have a lot of community service, most at a Rescue Mission in the local area</p>

<p>Awards:
1st place in editorials at a journalism competition
several awards in speech & debate and mock trial

<p>I know that Hamilton doesn't take that many kids, and a lot of kids apply. I really want to get in; Hamilton is my top choice. I loved the school when I visited, and I love their focus on writing and speaking (as you can see by my extracurricular activites). I write pretty well, so I think I can kick out a good essay on why I want to go to Hamilton. Do I have a chance to get in?</p>

<p>I have taken almost all of the AP/Honors courses available at my school, but I did only take 3 years of French (I did not take French AP). Will Hamilton think that my lack of dedication to really learning a language is bad? </p>

<p>I went on an academic program (Oxbridge Academic program) in Montpeiller, France. I spent 5 weeks in France taking Medical Science and International Law classes. Do you think that will even out my decision to not take French AP?</p>
