Also, I am getting an additional rec from a top radiologist who is a Assistant Professor at Harvard Med School at this prestigious hospital

Thanks!

Wow, that’s pretty impressive. You should get in anywhere. That’s really impressive. If you don’t mind saying, what school do you go to?

Obviously you have a very good shot at most of these schools. Does it really matter what people chance you at since Ivies and Stanford are crapshoots? You’ll probably get into Duke and UChicago.

^^You are terribly uninformed…it’s people like you that are driving up the application numbers to schools like Chicago…all ivys are not created equal…some are easier to get into than others…so please get educated!

[Stanford beats out all of the Ivy League schools by having the toughest admissions rate of all | Mail Online](Stanford beats out all of the Ivy League schools by having the toughest admissions rate of all | Daily Mail Online)

Haha I go to a public magnet IB school in Florida… I probably just gave my identity away LOL…

LOL IKR - they are crapshoots! Just hoping for the best really…

Not sure if this was to me or not. But the Ivys aren’t all the same difficulty to get into, but they are all crapshoots for the most part… even Cornell to some degree. I know 2300+ scorers with stellar ECs who didn’t get into Cornell.

Wow I think you should definitely go for yale! You’re an awesome applicant overall :)

thanks! I’m hoping for the best…

I’d say you have a pretty good shot at the ivys, reaches for all of them except cornell which is a low reach, since they’re all crapshoots
But I think you should apply early to Yale, esp since your dad went there for med and you’ve done some programs associated with the university

Duke and UChicago - low reach
Stanford- reach

I would say low reach for Stanford and Harvard, match for the rest.

Cornell: Solid chances
Penn: Low Reach
Other Ivies, Stanford, Chicago and Duke: Reach to high reach

thank you everyone! =D

Thats incredible! If you write a great essay on your application you should be golden.

Low Ivies (Dartmouth/Brown/Cornell/Columbia) Match
Upper Ivies (Princeton/Harvard/Yale) Low Reach (as they are for everybody)
UChicago and Duke are both Matches

Best of luck!! Super impressive! glowing recs and interesting essays should seal the deal. :)

thanks! =D hoping for the best, crossing my fingers…

You are match for Brown, Cornell, Dartmouth, and UPenn. I would say low reach for Yale, Harvard, Princeton, and Stanford. Your extracurriculars are very good, especially, the research. As collegeyeaaah said, the main things now are your essays and recs (the rec from the institution should seal it). Good Luck!!

You’re a pretty strong applicant i think you should definitely apply to all of your chosen unis. Brilliant EC’s by the way :)

Your EC’s are very good, and your academics are about at ivy league level. Unfortunately, as you are asian, it’s going to be a little tougher. You could choose to leave the race box blank, unless it’s really obvious in your name.

Stanford - mid to high reach
Duke - mid match/match
Uchicago - mid match/match
Cornell - mid to low reach
Brown - mid to high reach
Dartmouth - mid to high reach
Columbia - mid to high reach
Harvard - high reach
Yale - high reach
Princeton - high reach
Upenn - mid to low reach

Good luck with your apps!

It’s impossible with schools at such a high level to mark them as “match” or not, but I’d definitely say at least low reach for all of them. Right now, with your test scores, grades, and amount of ECs, you look exactly like every other Ivy/top-school applicant. What you need to stand out are stellar teacher recs and a unique and well-crafted essay.

Best of luck to you!

What are your safeties?

With few exceptions, all schools with acceptance rates in the single digits or low double digits are reaches. Put some safeties on the list. And think about what makes each school right for you, other than ranking.
