thanks everyone! my safety is University of Florida btw.

Though HYPS is a reach for everyone I think you have a pretty good shot. SCEA will definitely help with Yale.

Cornell: high match/low reach
Dartmouth: high match/low reach
Brown: high match/low reach
Columbia: mid-reach
Penn: low reach

Duke: mid-reach
UChicago: low reach

Thanks for chancing me! Best of luck to you.

Your stats and achievements are very impressive. I’d say low reach for Harvard, Yale, and Princeton (even the best can be rejected). However for the rest of the schools I’d say match to high match.

thanks everyone for your support! I have decided to take my SAT one last time in November (the last date for Yale’s SCEA) to see if I can improve my Math and CR scores…

hahahah I guess high matched to everywhere except Harvard
Write stellar essays and you’re in.

Academically you are a very strong candidate for Ivies. You have great scores, and I’m sure you’ll do fine on the SAT 2’s. YOUR EC’s are absolutely amazing! I am jealous in fact :). These will definitely stand out to schools like Yale, and show your true passion for medicine. Awards are also very impressive! I think you have an awesome shot to many Ivy League schools, and most of these schools would be lucky to have you. And as a plus, you have a legacy going! Good luck in your applications process!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I also forgot to mention that I started the French NHS my junior year and was VP (senior had to be the P because seniority) and then this coming year I should be president… if that helps my stats at all?

I’m jumping on the “ivies are a crapshoot” bandwagon here. Being asian, unfortunately, doesn’t help. It depends on the specific school’s affirmative action policy. Your stats are perfectly fine, and your ECs show leadership. My only concern with your application is to me, it comes off a tiny bit unauthentic. Perhaps that’s a matter of interpretation, but if I’m getting that sense, admissions officers might as well. That’s where the importance of your essays will come in. You have to show them that you’re doing everything you’re doing because you’re passionate about these activities, not to pad a resume. You have a good shot at all these schools, but again admissions are so selective you never know.

thanks for your help! I will try to come off as more authentic in my ECs and Essays before Nov 1st :)

you have very good academics and strong enough ECs to have a good chance at HYPS

assuming a you have good essays and recs, I would say:

HYPS - mid/high reach
other ivies - low reach
UChicago/Duke - high match/low reach

You just may have one of the most impressive resumes I’ve seen on CC.

Frankly, I know people say Ivies/Stanford are crapshoots, but they probably won’t let students like you slip out of their hands. My prediction is that you get admitted to all schools (maybe 1 or 2 rejections, but I don’t know why they would.)

Chance me back :)

thanks very much! =D

Thanks for chancing me! :)

As you probably know, your resume is pretty impressive! You have an excellent shot at all of them. I doubt you will have any trouble getting in, except for the typical Harvard admit that has found a cure for cancer while getting a gold medal in track and field. HYPS are so hard to predict, but you definitely have a better shot than most.

thanks =D I appreciate it!

Oh sometimes I think I did well in school but then I see people like you.

You look good for all you schools, with matches to everything except HYPS which are reaches (but low). I don’t think residency is considered legacy, but that probably won’t effect you too much. Good luck!

LOL aww thanks :))))

After being on CC for two years I can say I haven’t seen anything more impressive. Nothing is as well-rounded. Sure, there’s that one guy (31415265) who got a 2400, Keasbey Nights (24 APs), and that one guy who got a 3110 on his SAT size=1/size, but you take their best qualities and distill it into a compelling application while adding unique accomplishments such as your involvement in academic research and extensive volunteer work.

awwwww <3 you’re the bestest friend! (works 'cause I know you irl)

I think with your AWESOME stats you could get into any school you applied to! Ivies can be incredibly unpredictable, but your stats are solid. I think applying early to Yale is a good idea considering your hook and awards/EC are yale-related. good luck :)

thanks a lot =DDD
