I've taken the ACT once, and here are my results:

If my supplemental essays are decent and my recommendations are adequate, what do you think?

and applying ED, would November SATs arrive by decision time? and if so, should I try them again?

Thanks for your help!

Luckily for you, Cornell probably won’t even notice your SAT writing score. I think you have a decent chance.

Hey! I’m applying to the same program you are at Cornell. I’ve already sent in my application for ED. I don’t see why you’re applying to two almost completely different programs though. You seem to have a pretty competitive course load/GPA/School Rank as well as some decent ECs. Your biggest obstacle is probably standardized testing. I’m not sure if Cornell does Score Choice, but even if it does I’m pretty sure 2090 is in the lower 50%. Your subject test scores are very good though. Math does seem to be your strong point. Overall I think you have a pretty decent chance. If you’ve got the time to do so, it would be awesome if you could chance me as well. Thanks!

MMielnik, given your unbelievable class rank, gpa, and sat score, I believe you have a great shot. I am a junior in high school and both my parents attended Cornell. To start off, don’t listen to Alphad concerning your sat score. As Chriszeoli correctly stated, Cornell doesn’t even look at your writing scores, and therefore a combined score of 1450 is very good. Good luck
