Chance me please for regular decision?

Emory is my dream school, and I'm kind of on edge because I recently got rejected by UT Austin, a school that I considered to be my safety school... Do I stand a chance at Emory? I'm applying to the College of
Arts and Sciences

Stats:
SAT: 2080/2400 (670 CR, 690 Math, 720 Writing) (first time taking it at the beginning of my senior year >.<)
SAT IIs: -
ACT: -
APs: Psych-5, World History-4, APUSH-4, Eng Lang-3(did not report)
GPA:3.5111/4 UW, 5.0667/6 W - horrible, i know, but it was mainly due to my lack of effort freshman and sophomore year-- i did get all As junior and senior year with 10 or so APs
Rank: top 13% (75/548) at the end of junior year, and top 11% (65/580) at the middle of senior year (although I don't know if they will consider it) - again, horrible...
Senior Course Load: AP Art History, AP Calculus BC, AP Eng Lit, AP Gov/Macro Economics, AP Spanish IV, AP Chemistry II
Other stats:
State or Country:Texas
Ethnicity:Asian
Gender:Female
Extracurriculars (i mainly participated in my junior and senior years):National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, Generation Youth Humanitarian Organization, KEY Club, YES Club. I also volunteered as a receptionist at my local senior center every week since sophomore year, volunteered at an animal shelter since sophomore year and volunteered weekly at a hospital in my senior year
Awards: Student of the year award for Business in my junior year and Academic Excellence Award for my junior and senior years of school

Please be blunt so I know what to expect. If I get rejected from Emory and UMich, then I'm going to UBC Canada =)

bump~ anyone?

I’d say about a 20% chance. Your SATs and GPA don’t really stand out. Also, it’s tougher for Asians to get into certain Universities if they don’t have top superb academic qualifications.

thanks, citylife! i won’t get my expectations up too high when April 1st comes

I’d say your chances are 25-30 percent. The thing you’ve got going is an upward trend your junior and senior years. Your profile would be great for Oxford – did you apply there?
If Emory is your dream school and you’re denied, you might want to try transfering into Oxford and going to Emory (automatically, with acceptable gpa) for your junior year. Yeah . . . picking UT-Austin as a safety school was audacious. Hope you’ve got some good backups lined up. I know of two top-fiftyis LA schools that are still taking apps (free, too).
Sewaneed just announced a 10 percent tuition cut and is accepting late apps as a result. I’m still getting emails from DePauw, too. Just sayin’.

Thanks Malliford! C:
and yup! I do have a back up- thing is, it’s in Canada. But it is still better ranked and cheaper than UT Austin and most other schools in my state, so I will definitely be going there if I do not get accepted to Emory. Thanks for the heads up though <3
