sorry for so much info but i'm pretty nervous about it since i dont have the greatest SAT scores..
thanks for any info/help!

Stanford is definitely a reach, just like it is for all applicants. Your SAT scores are on the low side and your EC’s are kind of average. Make sure you have some admissions and/or financial match and safety schools on your list, just in case, because your list is a little top-heavy.

im planning on majoring in premed/bio med. i have backup schools like uc davis uc irvine and ucsb that all have already guaranteed me admission.

It may be a good strategy here to take the ACT or SAT for your RD schools. Your scores are at that place where lots of study and practice tests could make it shoot up.

I think it will be difficult at Stanford and at other top colleges, because your SAT scores are low and you don’t have any incredible ECs. You are also an overrepresented ethnicty. Are you first generation college? That would help.

Still have some shot though, as does everyone. Hope you did/can portray yourself well in your essays.

Stanford, Duke, UChicago, UPenn, and Northwestern are reaches imo. It would do you good to take the ACT/SAT again. Like above posters have said, with some practice and the right score, your chances could go up. Your rank and GPA are good, but your ECs and test scores are a bit low for these caliber of schools. Make sure your essays are awesome, and hope for the best! Good luck :)

Yeah I decided not to retake the sat because I felt like it would look bad if I took it a third time. My first time was a 2020 and my second time was very disappointing with a 2000. My 2040 (superscore) is the 25th percentile at Stanford so I hope everything else outshines it. I have quite a few extracurriculars that I didn’t list above as well. I just didn’t think my sat would hurt my chances as much as everyone is saying it will.
