Hello Fellow international student :-)

Congratulation on your finalist status! I m very glad myself.

I have to say that even though you being an international student will make things much harder, you have quite impressive ACT, GPA, and particularly ECs. I hope you are matches to whatever school you want to go. Even if you don’t get matched, I am very sure that you will get in somewhere.(I mean, you have quite a good shot but QB is really, really hard)

Yale, Columbia, Harvard, and MIT will be reaches solely because of their notorious competitions. So will be Caltech and Uchicago.

USC is probably a match. JHU may be high, high match or a low reach.

By the way, why are you applying to UCLA and UCB? You will get in of course but they don’t give any aid to international students. Make sure to look at their FA policies.

My advice is to make sure you have some safeties: schools that will give you good amount of merit scholarships based on your GPA and SAT/ACT, which are much more than enough. For example.
U of Alabama-full tuition with GPA 3.5+ and ACT 32+ will be a good back up.

What other schools are you thinking?

Im also thinking Berkeley, Embry-Riddle, and some local colleges.

I hope you apply to other schools like U of Richmond, Clark University and other safety school for the worst scenario.

Mr. Darude Sandstorm eh? I get the joke…
