Chance me please for UNC

<p>I am looking to aplly to UNC ealry ction this fall. I live in GA, i am african american and i am in high school where i am enrolled in the IB (International Baccalaureate) program. Here are my stats</p>

Unweighted GPA: 3.24
Weighted GPA: 3.75
Class rank: Top quater
ACT: 25 composite ( 21 english & 25 math)</p>

<p>Other:
Varsity soccer 4 years ( Captain for 2)
Club Soccer: leading goal scorer in georgia with 30+ goals (2010)
Habitat for Humanity member
Hands on Atlanta ( community service 50+ hours)
other community serive (50+ hours)</p>

I received a 6 (out of 7) on my spanish IB exam and i dont take my other exams until the end of my senior year. i am also taking 2 Ap clases my senior</p>

I know i dont have the best of GPAs but hopefully they will take into account the rigor of my classes, being in IB. can you please give me your thoughts</p>

<p>it’s not looking good. the one thing that could help is soccer. UNC is big in sports, so they might recruit you (which means automatic admission).</p>

<p>If you can get recruited, yes.
If not, then you have no chance at all. UNC is incredibly competitive for OOS kids so you’ll needed an ACT of 32+ to have a chance.</p>

<p>Not necessarily for a URM but your GPA is also on the low end for an OOS candidate. You’re going to need VERY strong essays and LORs.</p>

<p>BTW, there is no “early action” program at UNC like that at other schools that offers admission decisions in December.</p>
