Chance Me Please, HYPS/Wharton

Hello, Chance me at Wharton/ HYPS

Grades and Scores

3.97 unweighted, 4.63 weighted, Top 10 percent at my school- town where UVA is

Ap Euro History, Ap Calc AB- All 5s
Ap US History, AP Calc BC, AP CHEM, AP psychology- Junior year, all 5s
This year AP English Lit, Ap Stats, Ap Bio, Ap stats, plus taking linear algebra at UVA

2250 SAT score, SAT II- Chem 750,

ECs

Swimming for Club Team- 10 years, Y national qualifier- I can swim for any ivy league or small DI school-

High School Team-4 years, Captain

250 hours done at UVA hospital summer junior volunteering program
150 hours done at Habitat for Humanity Store

School Jazz band and Concert band- 4 years- nothing special

Not too many ECs, but Iwas really focused on swimming.

Recommendation- My AP US teacher who loves me, and AP chem teacher- decent, she liked fairly well.

Asian

You need better ECs than that for WHYPS. Unless you get recruited, swimming and some community service is definitely not enough.

If you can really swim at the collegiate level, you should have tried to get recruited and bring some more attention to your talents. Otherwise, nothing really stands out in your application. I would say that they’re definite reaches.

Yea ECs are weak. Wharton doesnt seem realistic as you need either a ton of leadership or an interest in business. Neither are evident here
For the ivies, you have the grades/SAT but ECs are weak if you’re not getting recruited, thus making them all mid-high reaches

EC’s are weak unless you write about your swimming experiences and get recruited
SAT is kinda low, plus ORM
decent reaches all
