<p>Hi. I went to Troy, too… and I think it’s a reach, especially looking at who got in for c/o 09. How did you get a 2 in AP CompSci? D: Isn’t Troy supposed to be really good at teaching that? You only have so much space for EC’s in the app, so I think the main thing is numbers, imo. And seeing who got in and who get rejected for c/o 09, I think UCLA is a reach for you. Sorry, I’m just being honest, but I could always be wrong.</p>

<p>@babydragon: hahahahah i took those classes outside of highschool…because i really enjoy biology…call me a nerd…but i guess it’s a passion…and also i loved the johns hopkins program. =]. and i couldnt apply to usc…first off too expensive, and second…i was born and raised as a michigan wolverine fan (my entire mom’s side of the family went there) so yeahh…xD…just doesnt feel right =D. </p>

<p>You have gotten some great advise here. You can only put around 5 EC’s on your application so think real hard about which ones to put and which to omit. The most meaningful to you and the ones with the most intense involvement are the most important. Get your GPA up, retake the SAT and (most importantly) write amazing essays about your passion (reflected in your most meaningful EC). Don’t mention that you went to a competitive HS, they will know that.</p>
