<p>i need honest opinions on acceptance chances to the following schools. i will channce back...</p>

<p>Georgia Resident
Hispanic Male
Junior in high school</p>

<p>Schools of Intrest
UGA
Georgia Tech
U. Texas
USC (Cal)
USC (Carolina)
UNC
U. Chicago
U Florida
Stanford (Really high reach)</p>

<p>Class Rank: Not Sure exactly, but top 10% for sure
GPA: 3.6 UW
4.2 Weighted
All Honors and AP Schedule throughout high school
AP Classes: World History(4) Bio(Will take exam) USH(Will take exam) CAlc AB (Will take exam)</p>

<p>SAT: 2200</p>

<p>EC: (Not very strong, will it hurt??)
Track 2 yrs, XC 1yr, Competitive Club Soccer 3 yrs
Beta Club( I Enjoy volunteering when i can)
Will my devotion to volunterring and helping the commnity help compensate vor the lack of a large list of EC's??</p>

<p>btw i messed up on the sat score, its a 2100 (But im retaking it in two weeks so im expecting a better score)</p>

<p>UF, will be really hard to get into because they prefer in state students. Barely any out of state students who are applying as freshman get in. The average freshman has a 4.0 unweighted GPA.</p>

Stanford (Really high reach)…you said it yourself. however, a kid from my school got in with a 26 ACT and 3.7. Really, Stanford is a crapshoot so you have as good a chance as anyone…</p>

<p>I think you have a good chance at all your schools although Stanford is always difficult. Shoot for that high SAT score, and you’ll be fine.</p>

NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: ECs</p>

<p>With ECs, it’s always quality over quantity. Can’t really judge about your ECs since you didn’t provide a description for each. But, it looks weak from the information you provided.</p>

<p>UNC and UFlorida are not nearly as high reaches as UChicago as some people here mentioned. You’re most definitely going to be rejected from Stanford, and probably from UChicago as well. You have a decent shot at all the other schools.</p>

<p>From what I know and have heard, American Universities love students who do numerous activities. But it should depend on what you want to major in, so consider taking some more EC’s but don’t stress yourself. I am not an expert so get a second opinion and good luck.</p>

<p>Yes, you need to show a passion in something you really, really enjoy doing. That and your AP schedule will serve you well in college admissions.</p>

<p>Well UF is really hard without being from florida but a top 10 Hispanic with a 2100 and high gpa should get u into most of those schools. But I’m still a junior lol :stuck_out_tongue: so I’m not the best source</p>
