what are my chances for the following schools?
- Ross School of Business (Michigan)
- Georgetown Univeristy
- Boston College Carroll School of Management
- Duke University
I am from one of the top schools in NY.
ACT: 32
GPA: 3.82 (an A at my school is a 3.8 and an A+ is a 4.0)
APs: Junior year: US history, AP composition (english)
Senior year: Calc BC, economics, U.S. Government, spanish
500 hours of community service, internship for the state managing real estate values. I am also a white male not seeking financial aid.

Elaborate on your ECs. What makes you unique? When you’re applying to top schools, grades and standardized tests are just used as a filter. Once that’s stripped away, they look at who you are and what you’ve accomplished. You have to elaborate before anyone can accurately chance you.
You have great scores that are definitely in the range of those accepted at your target schools, however as the last post said, the EC’s/Recs are what will separate you from the thousands that have the same scores.

I think you have good chances, but you need to take more AP classes…
Also you might want to think about retaking the ACT, not that it’s a bad score, you just need to be a little bit higher for Duke and Georgetown. I don’t know about the other two.
Thanks I have been contemplating retaking the ACT to try and go for a 34.
Looking at Stats alone you seem to be a solid high match/low reach for Ross and Carroll ( the business schools for both schools tend to be more competitive than the schools as a whole ).
Georgetown and Duke are reaches. You will definitely need to elaborate far more on your EC’s to get on but your stats give you a definite possibility. Think about maybe applying ED to Duke

Don’t know about the others, but Duke is a high reach for you, unless you apply ED, in which case it is still a mid/high reach. You don’t have anything that makes them want you as a student.
