Chance me please!!! I will chance back!

I applied ED and was deferred to RD. I have the option to send my SATs but I'm not sure that I will. Can you please chance me?

I have taken all honors (weighted 0.5) or GT (weighted 1.0) classes with the exception of some art and band classes.

Had an interview on campus that went very well
I poured a lot of passion into essay and short answers on the application

Indoor/Outdoor Track 3 letters earned
Marching Band 10-12
Full Orchestra/Winds Ensemble: 9-12
National Art Honor Society
School Plays

actually 7 APs instead of 6, sorry!!
and my class rank is 16%

i am also heavily involved in community service

Your stats look very similar to my son’s. He’s in the RD pool, too, but bypassed ED.

Son has a full-ride outside scholarship at stake, so he made a gentle request for an expedited admissions decision. There’s been no reply to that. But, if he hears anything, I’ll let you know.

Good luck.

I am not a college admissions expert.

Since Wake is now standardized test optional, it apparently does not report the mid-range SAT scores of its admitted students. I imagine that its ranges were pretty close to those of the College of William & Mary, whose middle 50% scored 1260-1430 on critical reading + math. (ACT midrange composite is 27-32.)

If I were in your shoes and had scores in these ranges or above, I would certainly submit them to Wake, particularly since you were deferred from ED to the RD pool.

darn! i’m sorry to hear that you were defered. looks like there’s no chance for me :(

i have a feeling that Wake is “SAT optional” only on paper. I’m sure test scores are still taken heavily into account, since a lot of applicants submit them anyways. If you don’t submit any, they MIGHT assume that your scores are well below average.

good luck to you! :D

Hmmmm yeah I guess I should be sending off my scores. They’re not terrible by any means but they’re definitely at the lower spectrum of the 1260-1430 range. But thank you all for your help! And good luck to you highoffyou. You never know what theyre looking for so dont let any of these threads make you lose hope.

If you guys would like me to chance you too, could you post your stats here? it takes forever to scroll through all of the posts and find your original one! thanks!
