AM I HOPELESS?????
UCSD is my DREAM SCHOOL
I know I need to work on my SAT... b/c im OOS :(
and my gpa seems not good enough
do I have any chance to UCSD and UCI??????
I really need your help!!!!!! i appreciate ANY opinion

Your GPA seems good enough

Being OOS does make your SAT scores seem less competitive, so yes–please retake them to increase your chances

ECs are good

UCI seems like a match
UCSD would be a slight reach/match if you were in-state

it does not look bad. although i think coming from out-of-state might hurt you a little. but on the contrary, if not many people from missouri apply, then it may boost your chances because colleges always look for people from diverse backgrounds.

and yeah, it would definitely help a lot to raise your SAT… 2100 would be a good goal to set.
it looks like you have a lot of good ECs. hope you wrote a good essay using them.

overall, i’d say a slight reach, but i honestly don’t know how to factor in the “out of state” part…

In at UCI, and if you can decide to retake the SAT in December and score higher then in at UCSD also.

UCI ur good–> match
UCSD—> Really will depend if you are a bio major or not. Bio became impacted which gives admission abilities to the bio department… so they will accept/reject who they want to prevent overflow of students…
Overall I say slight Reach.

OoPuresOo, really? I thought the impacted major does not matter to UC system, since they pick major after accepting the students. I am confused… anyways thank you everyone
