Chance me please, ill chance back asap!!!

HEY EVERYONE! PLEASE CHANCE ME FOR THESE SCHOOLS :D I WILL RETURN THE FAVOR IMMEDIATELY!

1) UPenn (Wharton Business School)
2) Cornell (ILR School)
3) Colombia University
4) Carnegie Mellon (Tepper School of Business)
5) New York University (Stern School of Business)
6) Brown University
7) Duke University
8) Tufts University

Asian (Pakistani)
2240 SAT (1500 Math and verbal)
GPA: 3.84 Weighted AND Top 20% class rank (extremely competitive high school, AMAZING school profile, 2nd in new jersey)
Reccs are great
Extra curriculars are great (NHS, varsity sports (2), etc etc etc)
Taken 12 AP's (most challenging curriculum available), AP Scholar with Distinction
Great at writing, essays are all fantastic

I am an above average student at a Competitive HS- (3.9 UW/2200/1440)

Ill be very rigorous in grading your app

I’d have to say that your EC’s aren’t great. People who go to IVY’s have 2-4 Ec’s, not numerous, but consistent ones, for ex: 4-6 Years/each, rather than 10 ec’s of all sports for 2 Years)

Awards: 1/10— Everyone has those
EC: 3/10 - Everyone has those
SAT: 4/10 - AVG is 2150 for applicants, AVG is 2250 for Accepted for IVY’s.
SAT Composite 4/10
Essays: 5/10— Everyone that applies has great essays. If you can write an SAT Essay and get a 12 ten times in a row, 15 mins per essay, then i’d give you an 9/10.

Assume that an average applicant has a 10% chance, giving them a 2/10 on everything.

Averaging all of that in id say 2/10 chance of getting into the medium-ivy
3/10 for low low low ivy

5/10 Non- Ivy But competitive

NYU- You’re 9/10 in

Out of those schools, you should be able to get into 1-3 of them.

chance me back

2) Cornell (ILR School)-high match
3) Colombia University-reach
4) Carnegie Mellon (Tepper School of Business)-match
5) New York University (Stern School of Business)-high match
6) Brown University-low reach/high match
7) Duke University-reach
8) Tufts-high match

Maybe more info about EC’s so we can better understand you

Well, I could elaborate a bit more. Im an all county player for four years in basketball and baseball. Ive completed various summer programs at 4 different universities in high school. Im the VP of model UN, and have about 300 community service hours.
SAT wise, i have a 2240, a 1500 math and verbal. Thats pretty far above average isn’t it? o.O
My school is extremely competitive, ranked 16th in the entire nation. And I still have a 3.84 GPA
And my essays are a 9/10.
Does that make it a little clearer? This is my high reach list, I have already decided on my other schools. Thank you so much though for your input, i love it when people are honest LOL youre awesome!

1) UPenn (Wharton Business School) 3/10
2) Cornell (ILR School) 4/10
3) Colombia University 2/10
4) Carnegie Mellon (Tepper School of Business) 7/10
5) New York University (Stern School of Business) 6/10
6) Brown University 4/10
7) Duke University 3/10
8) Tufts University 4/10

The point is that everyone that applies to those schools, has a 2100+, anything above 2100 shows that the person is capable of achieving. Some people get 2100 because they messed up, dont like reading.math/.writing w/e it is. a 1500 places you above avg for nyu brown duke tufts and carnegie mellon. Others have an applicant of 2100ish avg, but the ones that get accepted have a 2250+, or a 1500+ Composite. You’d be slightly below avg for those ivy’s with the writing but your composite is exactly what they have, the avg.

I see… thanks a lot for your feedback! :)

buuuuuuuuump. anyone else? ill chance back ^_^

I actually wholeheartedly agree with Hokage12. We’re pretty much in the same boat. I think Penn’s going to be more of a 2/10 just because its wharton and they’re crazy. 3.84 and top TWENTY is a bit low for Penn. Even if your school is extremely competitive, I think they’d rather see the valedictorian from a easier school than part of top 20. But hey. Who knows? I guess we’ll see. Good luck!

I agree with hokage,as crazy as it might sound your gpa and rank are a bit low. Wharton and Columbia are crapshots but you have great chances at Stern. Write essays that show your passion and see what happens. Good luck.
