Still no jobs or internships...

Your GPA is too low for Harvard, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and UCLA. Your EC’s are not outstanding you need some leadership positions. Your SAT, and SAT II scores are way too low as well. What you do have going for you is that your an African American candidate so that means your a URM which helps your chances.

Colleges don’t care about your 7th and 8th grade grades. Also your course rigor is not up to par either for the ivy league schools.

Doesn’t Chapter Officer (FBLA His/Rep) count as a leadership position?

Harvard, Stanford - very high reach
Mills College - match/safety
UC Davis - match
UCLA- reach
UC Berkeley - very high reach
UC Santa Cruz - match/safety
-> For UCs, it depends on your location, but you never know~
St. John’s University - match/safety
University of Maryland - Baltimore County - safety

Good luck!
Will you chance me too? Thanks!

Harvard/Stanford - high reach due to GPA
Mills - low match
UC Davis - match
UCLA - high match
UC Berkely - reach due to GPA
UC Santa Cruz - Safety
St Johns - low match
U Maryland - Safety

Thank you!

Unfortunately, I have to say that Harvard, Stanford, UCLA, and UC Berkeley would be pretty high reaches with your GPA. The average GPA (weighted) for UCLA and UC Berkeley are 4.15 and 4.18 (although I’ve heard very different scores, like 4.38 and 4.39( respectively, and Harvard and Stanford both have a median unweighted GPA of nearly 4.0. Even your status as a minority student will probably be ineffective especially at Harvard and Stanford; it will probably give brownie points at the UCs.
Mills, Santa Cruz, U Maryland, and St. Johns are very good bets, and you shouldn’t have much issue getting into either of them.
Lastly, UC Davis is a reach, with an average GPA of 3.94.

Good luck!
