You should really try to get your SAT Reasoning scores up. Numbers in the 500s are too low for NYU, even if your GPA is as good as yours is. If you could get your superscore up to around 2100, you’d have a very good chance.

If you can’t, it’s still definitely worth it to apply. You could always try taking another SAT subject test in history - if you were to get 700+ you could submit those three SAT subject tests in stead of your weak SAT Reasoning scores.

Here’s NYU’s new test policy: [NYU > Undergraduate Admissions > Applying for Admission > Freshman Applicants > Standardized Tests](<a href=“How to Apply”>How to Apply)

Also, what AP scores do you have, besides biology?

you have a pretty good chance i believe, raising your sat would only make it even more achievable

btw chance me :)

<a href=“Chance me Ill chance back - New York University - College Confidential Forums”>Chance me Ill chance back - New York University - College Confidential Forums;

i would definitely recommend doing the “three SAT IIs” route because your first two SAT II scores are terrific.

I agree with missamericanpie. Your SAT II scores are great, and I think submitting them is your best option considering how high they are compared to your other test scores. And if you don’t want to take that route for whatever reason, your ACT score is still pretty solid.

Overall though I think you have a very good chance. Your GPA is great, and your ECs are good.
