Thinking for UCLA,USC,UCSD, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, Stanford, WUSTL, JHU, Georgetown, University of Virginia,Vanderbilt

Stanford is a crapshoot for anyone applying so I won’t say anything about that.
UCD/UCSD/UCSB - IN
UCLA/USC/UCB - Probably in but USC LOVES high test scores or so I hear so try boosting SAT?
JHU/WUSTL/Georgetown/Vandy - 3.89 is kind of low for them and I don’t mean to be offensive but your ECs aren’t that stupendous though you’ve been through things and you’re 1st gen so I would say 40-45% chance. Just communicate your passion bc I don’t see a common link in your ECs. GOOD LUCK! And check out ************** for more estimations! Thanks for chancing me =)

I’ll PM you the website lol

I agree with wellesleygal that you should try to boost your SATs. Otherwise, I think you may be a strong applicant. Your GPA could also be better but being a New York resident may help you in California. I wouldn’t hedge my bets on Stanford, but at the same time it’s far from impossible. Your chances are at least 50% at all the UCs, I would guess. I think you could get into at least one of JHU, WUSTL, Georgetown, UVA, and Vanderbilt, though, probably two.

I think as long as you increase your test scores you have a good chance nearly everywhere except Stanford (who knows what they want). The fact that you are from NY and you are primarily looking at schools outside of the northeast is quite a boost. Luck:)

**chance me?

Your UC GPA is a 3.89, but what is your UNWEIGHTED GPA?

And just curious, but why are you applying to UCs as a low-income OOS student? Trust me, $200k worth of debt is NOT worth it if your family only makes less than $30k.

my unweighted is a 3.4 something with all honors and aps i go to one of the top competitive high schools in NYC. I was hoping to do ROTC and because I’ve wanted to go to Cali for college as long as i can remember.

bump please chance?
