What’s your class rank (estimated if not official)?

-Vanderbilt: high match / low reach
-Williams: mid reach
-Amherst: mid reach
-WashU St. Louis: mid reach
-Rice: high match / low reach
-Notre Dame: high match
-Georgetown: high match / low reach

-Vanderbilt - Hard to get into, but I believe you should make it. Will you apply for FAFSA? If not, it should be automatic for you
-Williams - I’ll be honest. I don’t know too much about Williams. I’ll say mid reach
-Amherst - Same as above
-Washington in St Louis - Once again, very competivitve. I still believe you could get in.
-Rice - Best school on here, IMHO. Crapshoot really
-Notre Dame - Should be able to get in
-Georgetown - ^^ same as above.

I feel that your ECs might be a bit subpar, especially given the fact that the schools you listed are highly competitive institutions. If you are a senior, it may be too late to do anything. If you are a junior, try to obtain an internship of some sort in your field of interest. I’m assuming, however, that you are a senior, in which case it will be difficult for you to improve your chances at these schools significantly.

Is your ACT score projected? I would try to raise it to a 35 if possible, which may help improve your chances. Your GPA is also a bit on the low end.

Your class rank would be helpful to compare you to other students in your class. Class rank just means how your GPA stands against others in your class. Are you number 1 in your class? Are you number 5 in your class? Would you say that you’re in the top 10% of your class?

Also, you say that you go to an IB school, but all the classes you have listed are AP and honors. I’m just slightly confused.

I think right now, the best thing you can do to raise your chances right now is write STELLAR essays that really help you stand out among the applicant pool!

for the top colleges, your ECs will not help you a whole lot tbh. a lot of applicants applying for those college have similar school-related ECs although your GPA/ACT are fine. But you need much more than just good grades/scores
