I feel like you have a pretty good chance, especially because you live in state! Your ec’s are great. The only thing that doesn’t seem to reach the average unc score is the unweighted GPA. But chapel hill really makes sure to look at the whole person, not just a single number will make or break you. Your APs should help you out. The other big thing are recommendations, did you have a good teacher to write you one?
@onmyway7 I had my APES teacher and my AP Euro teacher (he graduated top of his class from Stanford Law) write my recs and I know they both wrote good ones. Any idea about Richmond?
URichmond- No idea, I know literally know nothing about that school except that their mascot is a spider
UNC-CH- high match (UW GPA and scores are a tad low, but UNC does holistic admissions)
NC State- match
UNCW- low match
Oh sorry I totally forgot about the others! I honestly hardly know anything about Richmond. I feel like You have a good chance at NCstate. I really think you could get into uncw, good safety!
I think U of R could go either way for you. You have excellent course rigor, but your SAT and ACT are low, along with your unweighted GPA (although they look at unweighted core gpa). 25th percentile for sat, act, and unweighted core gpa at richmond are 1970, 30, and 3.59 respectively. U of R is holistic though, so these objective factors can’t be used to accurately determine if you’ll be admitted.
Your grades are great and your sat scores are in the range for the schools you listed. You’re so lucky that your school offers a course dedicated to the civil war! You have a unique course selection and sufficient extracurriculars. I would say that you are about a match for the schools you listed. Good luck with your college decisions
