Pretty sure you’ll get into NYU. Berkeley might be a high match. I dont really know much about the way your GPA is calculated. Is it good compared to other people in your school? otherwise your ECs and test scores are great. And also I heard that legacy doesnt really have much of an impact on college admissions anymore since most Americans have gone to some college or another. The influence of legacy was very important back when colleges were first founded. Now not so much. Just thought I’d let you know.
Your ECs look great! They’re focused on something you clearly enjoy which colleges really like. I think you’re a match for NYU and most of your others schools, Berkeley and Johns Hopkins are reaches but I think if your essays are good then you can still get in.
NYU - match
Tufts - high match
Amherst( Legacy) - high match
McGill - low match
Cuny Brooklyn - low match
Williams ( Legacy) - high match
Carleton - match
William and Mary - match
Uc Berkeley - reach
Johns Hopkins - reach
Suny Geneso - low match
@hopeful64 if Amhesrt and Williams and Tufts (the first two being legacies) are high matches then Middlebury is also a high match. The only way Berkeley will be more difficult than the NESCACs is if the applicant is from outside of Calfornia. Even then, it’s probably comparable. There’s no way you can put NYU, W&M, and Middlebury in the same admission boat.
NYU- accepted, you seem above this!
Middlebury- accepted
Tufts- accepted… probably
Amherst( Legacy)- accepted
McGill- accepted- accepted
Cuny Brooklyn- accepted
Williams ( Legacy)- accepted
Carleton- accepted
William and Mary- accepted
Uc Berkeley- probably accepted
Johns Hopkins- such a good school its variable, so waitlisted
Suny Geneso- accepted
