Chance Me Please! I'm a Junior and I want to go to Harvard.

Please chance me.

er, if you’re still a junior, how do you have your 2nd semester junior year grades? or are those current grades/projected ones

so you’ve never even gotten an A-, except the B+ in A2h?

I’d say you have as good a chance as any. Ace the SAT/ACT, write good essays and you hopefully will get in. I really don’t think you need to do anything extra.

The 2nd semester grades are current and they are going to stay like that. Thanks.

Please chance me.

^OP has a higher chance this. Assuming 2300, you have about a 15-20% of getting in, just estimating. You’d probably be in Harvards top 40-50% of applicants, and then it’ll come down to stuff like uniqueness. (recs, essays, EC’s, personality shining thru, all the stuff, you know…) There’s no denying your a smart kid. If you don’t get into Harvard, theres a lot of other great schools for you.

^its annoying bro, please stop. Go post this on the Harvard forum if you want more answers. Most of the people here are telling you the same thing (ivies are crapshoots, you have the same shot at everyone else, etc.)

^forgot to add, Harvard is having SCEA next year. You should consider going SCEA if your app is completely ready by that time.

Bump…

Is there something you are hoping to hear that you haven’t heard yet?
Please enlighten us.

i love the fact u are bumping the thread nonstop despite knowing ur answer already…

are u waiting for some harvard admission to just pop in and tell u? or do u bump for the boost of ‘self-esteem’.

anyways just like the others NO one knows. the fact u have a 3.99 uw gpa could absolutely kill u, cause imagine a bunch of other kids applying with 4.00 uw? infact some of those guys could possibly have a 2400 or above a 2350. We don’t know the general standards at harvard bro since almost everyone has the same stats that wants to go actually go there…

go become an intern for a governmeent official or open ur own business. that will certainly add a uniqqqqqque touch to ur app and will def increase ur chances.

Bump. N

…bump…

Bump…

There’s absolutely no difference between a 4.0 and a 3.99…nor between a 2350 and a 2400. Once you get above 3.9 or so, and 2300, the numbers won’t be what determines the decision.

Anybody else want to chance me?

You’re obviously in the running for admission. However, if an admissions rep reads this and realizes how blasted annoying you are, you may get rejected. Look, I’m a senior. I’ve applied to several Ivy League schools and the like, with probably a lesser resume than yours. You’ve assembled a great resume, one that puts you in a good position for Harvard admissions, which could still mean rejection for anyone. But look, the best advice I have for you is to get out and LIVE. Don’t sit on here all day saying “chance me please”. Surely that’s not all you could be doing with your life. Sure a lil’ CC never killed anyone, but come on. Go out with your friends or something, for everyone’s sake.

Yale SCHOLAR Program or National Institute of Health Internship? Which one is better? Chance me please!

@zackfasho: lol, he glossed over your post.

@SagarB123: PSAT doesn’t count unless you’ve taken it in your junior year. Freshman and sophomore years are just for prep. From the looks of it, you’re only accumulating these activities to impress Harvard, and you don’t show genuine interest in most of them. Since you want your chance:

Your chances of being admitted into Harvard is slim, almost next to none. You’d better start taking a look at other colleges that match you, and find a few solids here and there.

Why Harvard though? Even if you don’t get in, with the commitment you have shown, you should do just fine in life. Having ‘Harvard’ on your degree won’t make life go well for you, having life go well for you will.

This… is annoying. Stop bumping yourself every 2 seconds. It won’t improve your chances, nor will it make more people inclined to give you the ego stroke you so obviously are looking for.

You have as good a chance as any, which isn’t saying much. However, maybe if you got off of your own thread on CC and went and did something with your life, you could have better chances.
