Chance Me Please! I'm new!

<p>This is my first attempt at this and I've honestly never really bothered with college until now... Some comments would be nice :)</p>

<p>General
Asian Male: Class of 2012: Southern California
UW GPA: 3.5 – 3.7 ish (after grade changes)
W GPA: Not sure… 4.2? maybe? (I take pretty much every Honors class available)
Rank: Top 15%; (Based on unweighted)
PSAT: 230
SAT: 2330 (770CR, 770M, 790WR)

<p>Volunteer Work
- I volunteer at a hospital/development center for the mentally retarded (severe-profound).
- Am currently a webmaster for a nonprofit organization based on helping the poor in other countries.
- Tutor kids at an after school academy
- Also have volunteer hours from different activities for CAS (IB stuff)
- Tutor SAT for CAS.</p>

<p>Job Experience
- Tutor
- Freelance programming (mainly PHP)</p>

<p>Awards/Honors
- National Merit Semifinalist. (I haven’t received it but 230 is in the range for sure)
- Hold 7th place in California for FBLA Networking Concepts
- Passed AMC 12 (10th/11th)</p>

<p>Misc
- I have a pretty solid foundation (self-taught however) in web programming languages such as PHP.
- I have working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- I have some knowledge of Java/C. I’m still learning these.</p>

<p>Planning to get recommendations from my math teacher (9/10) [I expect it to be glowing. She loved me and I did great in her class] and my GLC.</p>

<p>I want to major in Computer Science/Engineering/IT (computer related field)</p>
