<p>Ok so I know this is really annoying but I am freaking out and would like the opinion of someone other than my parents or my college adviser. </p>

<p>I am an out of sate student from a competitive private school
I am applying as a classics major, which second choice being Liberal Arts Undeclared.
GPA: 3.7 unweighted (my school does not rank or weight GPA)
I am currently taking 4 classes, AP Latin, AP English, AP environmental science and Pre calc
I have taken latin all four years and created an independent study in anthropology in my junior year (those are my most interesting/ unique classes)
I have a 2030 SAT 580 math (low, I know) 690 writing and 760 critical reading
I have great recs from two different teachers, as well as a recommendation to the president of the university from a family friend who is also the president of a prestigious university in the north east
I have made honor roll all four years of high school
I have taken one AP exam on which I got a 4</p>

<p>well my college adviser talked to someone in the admissions office today and apparently have I about a 50/50 shot. She didnt say anything about my extra letter of recommendation. She said I wasnt a shoe-in but I definitely wasnt out of the question, I am in the exact middle group and it could easily go either way. thanks anyway!</p>
