Chance me please- Inexperienced sophomore

I have a 3.39 GPA (but I'm only a sophomore, so it will hopefully go up).

So far I have been taking the most challenging courseload my school offers in all 5 of my core subject areas...
Freshman Year:
Geometry (I took Algebra in middle school)
Biology
Honors Global
Honors English
Italian 1

Sophomore Year:
Honors Trig
Chemistry
AP World History
Honors English
Italian

I just talked to my adviser and next year I will (probably) be taking:

Pre Calc
Physics
AP US History
AP English Comp
Honors Italian

I take the maximum number of electives my school offers. (I didn't include them because Im taking 6 elective classes and I don't want this to go on forever.

Last summer I had an internship and was offerred a position there again this summer. I am involved in my school's debate team (next year I'm going to be vice president), I'm a member of my school's Philosophy club and I particapate in the Relay for Life Organization. Outside of school I participate in a local chorus, a Guitar group and I take a dance class.

I'm a white female from San Francisco.
Please chance me for:
Bard
Bennington
Sarah Lawrence
Smith
NYU
Hampshire
Ithaca College
Vassar
Boston University
Emerson
Drew
Skidmore
Reed
Kenyon
Marlboro
Wesleyan

Even if you don't have time to write something detailed please just let me know if these schools seem like a reach, safety or just right for me... I'm very new to this process so if any of you could help me out by giving me a general idea of where I stand that would be incredible...

You’re certainly on the right track. Work on your gpa a little and make sure your SATs are within range and you should really be fine.

It’s a little early to chance you, but you’re on the right track! Make sure your SAT is good,.

Just a little side note: why are you taking pre-calc if you’re taking trig this year already? They’re essentially the same course. I went straight from Algebra 2/Trig to Calculus and no problems.

Chance me for Berkeley?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1256925-chance-me-berkeley.html

^^ Same question. My school system goes Alg. 1 → Alg. 2 (has some trig) → Precal (has more trig) → Calc

Precal is a bit of a weird class at my school because first you basically do a semester of trig, then seemingly random stuff like probability and statistics. I really don’t see why you’d have to take that AND trig.

I think it’s a bit early to chance you; But you seem to be on the right track. Get those grades up! Frosh/Soph year are supposed to be GPA boosters, not lowerers (I don’t think that’s a word xD).

about how much do I need to raise my gpa for a shot at these places?

You don’t need to raise it for a “shot”, but anything at a 3.7+ unweighted looks pretty good.
