Schools: (Don't feel like you HAVE to do all of them! Even just the 1st two would be amazing)
UPenn Huntsman Program (Wharton & International Studies Program - they choose only 50 kids per year) [ED]
UPenn Wharton
Princeton
NYU Stern
Harvard
UMish Business School
UNC Business School
Berkeley Business School
UChicago
Boston College

UPenn Huntsman Program [ED]- Reach just because it is so selective
UPenn Wharton- Reach (selectivity)
Princeton- Reach
NYU Stern- Depends if you can pay, but Match
Harvard- Reach
UMish Business School-I’m not sure.
UNC Business School- not sure
Berkeley Business School- not sure
UChicago- Lower Reach
Boston College- Match

SATs and GPA is fine for any of these schools. Ethnicity is a huge advantage, not going to lie.

Huntsman’s not THAT hard to get into, you basically show a crap ton of interest in how the world is connected as well as foreign cultures and you’re in. You show a ton of interest in Chinese in general so you have a shot, but it’s also one of the more popular languages there… try to not get a 600 on your SATII. That just says all the time you put into learning Mandarin was totally wasted. If you’re really interested in Huntsman and want to talk about applying, PM me.

Wharton by itself, you have a ton of businesssy ****. Probably.

Stern - If you can pay for it, they’ll take you.

Harvard - Low reach. You have the high achieving Hispanic thing going on, but it only looks like one really amazing EC. Don’t count on it, but be hopeful.

UMich - if you hand in your application, yes. It’s seriously cold there though, don’t go.

UNC - Er… unless you’ve murdered someone publicly in the past, yes.

Berkeley - They don’t believe in the whole ethnic minority thing out there, so you might actually not get in. There’s just so many high achieving Asian kids applying, although I don’t know about their business school at all. I mean… would you really go to Berkeley for anything but science?

Chicago - Iffy. Always a crapshoot because of their randomly changing admissions numbers, plus they’re not really as preprofessional as some other schools. Tossup.

BC - If you’re not on the FBI Top 10 Most Wanted, you’ll get in. Why do people even put their safeties on Chance Mes…

^ UMich is not that cold. It is about the same climate as in the regions where most Ivies and MIT are. It is definitely cold when compared with UCB or UNC though.

Hey thanks for chancing me!

I think being a URM with great scores and GPA, you are already qualified for most of the top schools that you have listed.

Just wanna say don’t get too worried about you lacking music and sports ECs. After all, ECs are for you pursue your own interests and passions.

I believe with a decent essay, recommendation, you have a great chance at all the schools except Harvard, Princeton, Wharton, Chicago for obvious reasons, but you have a much better shot than the average applicant though!
