Excellent ECs. I would be surprised if you didn’t get accepted in at least half of the Ivies.

Chance me please: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/953055-please-chance.html

I’m not sure how you become a team captain in USABO or USACO. These aren’t team activities - you either make it to the camp or you don’t.

^ There could be a club that exists for the purpose of preparing for these exams, or something along those lines.

Yeah. We start meeting from the beginning of the year once or twice every two weeks, and theres someone who leads the lectures, along with the teacher (or in his absence).

bump. btw, just found out from my teacher: 5 in AP Chem.

Strong stats, URM, hispanic going into science and engineering = in.

Your chances are solid at all the privates that has any emphasis on affirmative action.

Excellent chance at all.

2270 is not out of anyone’s SAT range.

Thanks, guys!

Oh, I also forgot to mention. Im not a U.S born hispanic; I was born in Colombia, so English is my second language, and Spanish is the language I speak at home.

^^ talk about that in your essay, and how you aspire to be a scientist and use the technical skills to improve the lives of your people = automatic in. I guarantee it lol.

ignore Hannibal, his information seems to be very misleading in many of the chancing threads.

I would say not only misleading, but false.

^^ yeah, im incorporating that into the main theme of my essay, but I dont think I’ll make it the main point.

^I’ve noticed.

^Hannibal you’re blatantly wrong.

Any advice? What should I strengthen, what should I concentrate on? Any input is strongly appreciated!

Someone said something about your SAT score not being in the range for Ivies - COMPLETE BS. I have a friend who got into Cornell with no outstanding EC’s, excellent grades, but an SAT of 1960. So… yeah.
You’ll be fine everywhere, just write a great essay and get some solid recommendations. Good luck and congratulations on all your success so far.

SAT I: Competitive score
SAT II: Competitive scores
GPA: Good GPA
Rank: Good Rank
Courseload: Rigorous Courseload
ECs: Good leadership and commitment, well-rounded too
Work Experience: Good
Volunteer Work: Hard to comment without knowing how many hours you volunteered in total, however they seem good

You’re a URM with a 2270, good ECs and all the rest. Most likely you have a good chance at all unless you botch your intangibles (essay, recommendations etc.).

Wow. Seems awesome.
