AP US is not an easy class. If you leaned towards a history minor/major and got a good score and AP Euro (also extremely difficult) you’re looking solid. And you got the 3 million ec’s…haha good luck

You’ve got a lot of good numbers and ECs and stuff, and that’ll give you a solid place in the applicant pool to some extent, but what’ll get you in at high-applicant/very selective universities like this is standing out. You challenge yourself and you cover all the bases–sports, leadership, honors+awards, community service, etc–but what’s your strongest point? Something I’ve heard a lot of is that your application needs to have a theme. What stands out most about you? What’s your strongest area of interest? What has made you who you are?

Your numbers put you in good standing with everyone else. But the question colleges ask when they see that is this: “He’s got great grades–like most of our applicants. What is there about him personally that says we should accept him? Why is he unique?”

Be sure to answer that question when it comes to application time, and to make it believable and apparent. Show them (instead of telling them) who you are–it’s cliche, but it’s true.

Thanks so much for the advice! And Nabian, I totally understand where you are coming from…it is cliche but I’ve heard it many times before and I know it’s true. I will try to do figure out my theme, so thank you!!!

Penn and Dartmouth are high reaches. Chicago and Georgetown are mid reaches. Rest are all matches/ safeties. gpa/SATs are not great (would retake for CR score) and ECs aren’t great. But hey, who knows? I agree with Nabian’s analysis.

Strong ec’s and depending on sat subjects and how much CR increases I think you have more than a fair chance at ivies. I’d be shocked if you didn’t get in to your other choices. The only other thing I can think of is peaking more in one of your sports, like playing elite level this summer. Good luck!

dartmouth, upenn, georgetown are still going to be relatively high reaches, but it’s always really hard to tell with these schools when the acceptance rates are SO incredibly low.

chicago - high match, but if you screw up the essay, then yeah. chicago puts a lot of emphasis on their essays…especially since they’re so unique.

lehigh, washington&lee, richmond, wake forest should be matches!

I wont chance for these cause I dont know enough: Wash&Lee, Lehigh

Penn - Mid to High Reach (Its a reach for everyone)
Dartmouth -Low to Mid Reach
Georgetown - High Match
Richmond - Safety
UChicago -Low Reach/High Match
Wake Forest -IN for sure

Thanks for chancing me. Your Stats are impressive, but you are applying to really good schools.
