<p>hey guys I am a student in Class XI. I will be finsihing my class XII in March next year so I plan to apply in september this year for entry in Fall 2008 My Sat is on June 2nd. I have kinda maintained my rank in top 10% of my class. I am listing my EC below :</p>

<p>I have been getting really good scores for the past 3 years, all A's but this junior year of my high school. I messed up a little bit. I have an avg of 70% Though I have not finished my final exams yet. But I guess Universities will evaluate my last 2 exams of junior year. The exams I had, Total marks for each subject was 40 but my final exam has 100 marks for each suject. I have Phy, Chem, Eng, Comp, Maths as my subjects.</p>
<p>If i get a good score on SAT and SAT subject tests Do i stand a chance?</p>
<p>Sorry man wish i could give ya an honest opinion but I don't understand your stats. Your obviously out of the country (as by the XI/XII thing). Your grades however are difficult to gauge, but your out of the country thing helps</p>
<p>Okay so I am guessing 70% avg means you have mostly C's? Do you have honors or ap classes? I had a two C's on my transcript and I was fine.</p>
<p>You dont need the SAT subjects tests to get in but for the SAT I would shoot for above a 1200 to be safe. </p>
<p>Based on your EC and the fact that you are from out of the country, and your past grades, I think you stand a very good chance. </p>
<p>Colleges look at all three years but Junior year is said to be the most important one. They will only see what is on your transcript, so for example, we have two semester with four nine weeks. Our transcript only shows our semester grades so you can get a C one nine weeks, an A the next, and pass the final exam with an A and get an B or A, I believe. They also take a look at the classes you take your last year of school and project what you will get based on pass grades. </p>
<p>I dont kinda have C's here in INdia If i convert them I have mostly A2 and Bs I have loads of recommendation letters and pretty good ones. I have a few exams lined up ahead I think I will try and score 90% and above in all of em. </p>
<p>With these scores too I am in the top 15% of my class of 62 students.</p>
<p>Oh then I dont think you have anything to worry about. A's and B's are fine. If you stay in the top 20% you should be fine too.</p>
<p>About the rec. letters. Dont send more than one, they only read them if they are on the fence about you, and they do that because most rec. letters say nothing more about you, they are all the same. I choose a teacher who I had traveled to Europe with because she knew me really well. Otherwise its a waste.</p>
<p>Well in Class XI I have an avg of 75% but my final exams are not over yet, they are in march.</p>

<p>Considering that you are from an Indian Syllabus I can probably say that ur 9th and 10th scores are amazing. </p>
<p>Your 11th 75% is good - not excellent. But everyone pretty much knows the jump in the courseload from 10th to 11th and getting 75% is pretty decent.</p>
<p>Your EC's are amazing. Quite a few EC's based on Science. Plus they also show a wide range of disciplines - which is good.</p>
<p>If you get an SAT M+V score about 1400 I would say that you are certainly in UFlorida. Anything above 1300 means that you are a competitive applicant. Infact, if you get a score anywhere above 2150 - 2200 I would suggest you to apply to a few more competitive colleges as well. </p>
<p>Unless you really screw up the SAT and your 12th I really don't think you should be rejected by UFlorida. </p>
